Landscape gardening jobs showing varied work

Apprentices, essential to the landscape industry

Meet George, L2 Horticulture Operative apprentice with Acre Landscapes, studying at Plumpton college. George chose to get into landscaping because he enjoys being outdoors and loves the fact that every day is different. He likes being part of a supportive team that he can learn from and feels a real sense of achievement when he looks back over the days work and knows he contributed to bringing the landscape to life.

Acre landscapes recognises the importance of an apprentice, citing that often, most successful people in the landscape industry began their careers at college, in part or fulltime education, and that the modern apprenticeships provide training and experience, making them essential to our industry. As a business they want to employ as many school leavers as possible who enjoy the outdoors, pay them properly and fully and encourage their academic learning.
