In recognition of National Apprenticeship Week 2020 #NAW2020, GoLandscape would like to introduce you to Max. Max is currently undertaking a Level 2 Landscape Operative apprenticeship through BALI Training Provider member YMCA Training. Day to day he works for BALI Registered Contractor Greenscape Gardens, receiving on the job training, whilst working as and developing the many skills of a landscaper.

Apprenticeships are a great way to gain training and be paid to undertake a specific trade. The landscape industry sees tremendous value in this method of education and recruitment. Over the next few months, we are going to follow Max’s progress to see what skills he develops and to help showcase why becoming a landscaper is a great career choice.

Speaking to BALI’s Education Officer, Stephen Ensell, Max commented:

“I got into landscaping because I love working outdoors and have a real passion to master different fields within one trade.

I love landscaping because you get to see something change from nothing to really smart! I also love landscaping because no two days are the same and I love the variety of different tasks involved within one project.
